Diagnosis of oral diseases


There are sixty-five types - of oral diseases. Their origin is seven, namely, the two lips, the root of the teeth (molar), the teeth, the tongue, the palate (upper mouth), the throat (throat) and the entire mouth. Of these, eight types occur in the two lips, fifteen types in the root of the teeth, eight types in the teeth, five types in the tongue, nine types in the upper mouth, seven types in the throat and three types in the entire mouth.

Eight types of diseases occur in it due to the defects of air, bile, phlegm, phlegm, blood, flesh, fat and trauma.


(1) Due to the wind, the lips become two-sided, swollen, red, black and painful. The lips become cracked and some part of the lips remains cracked.

(3) Due to phlegm, the lips feel cold, rough and heavy.


Here, many small pimples appear on the lips and become swollen. There is no pain other than tingling.


(4) Due to the three-fold irritation, the lips sometimes appear black, yellow or white. Various small pimples appear on them.


(5) The lips appear red as blood due to the rash and small pimples on the palms and soles of the feet appear in large numbers. These often burst and bleed. 1


(6) Due to the inflammation of the flesh, both lips become heavy, thick and swollen like lumps of flesh. Worms are born on both sides of the lips.


(7) Due to the inflammation of the fat, the lips become two-pronged, firm, soft, waxy and watery like liquid ghee. From this, a clear discharge like glass appears.

There are fifteen types of periodontal disease.


(1) Shritada - In this, blood suddenly flows from the tooth socket. The flesh is rotten and pus comes out. The socket appears soft and black and eventually the teeth fall out.


(2) Tooth abscess: This is caused by phlegm and blood. In this, the roots of two or three teeth swell and become painful at the same time.


(3) Toothache - In this, the teeth are loosened and blood comes out of the gums. It is caused by blood clots.


(4) Toothache - Due to the phlegm and blood disorders, a painful swelling develops at the root of the tooth and there is excessive salivation.


(5) Due to the anger of Mahasaushir-Tridosha, the teeth fall out, the palate (upper mouth) is injured, the flesh of the teeth rots and there is severe pain.


(6) Periodontitis, bile and phlegm disorders cause the pulp of the teeth to become inflamed and bleed.


(7) Due to the presence of blood and bile, the teeth become inflamed with severe pain. Due to this, all the teeth become loose. This reduces the pain. If there is a slight injury to the teeth, blood comes out and the blood comes out, causing swelling in the mouth.


(8) Badarbha - Due to trauma, the root of the tooth becomes swollen and the teeth become loose.

(9) Blockage - The upper teeth are often erupted with severe pain due to the impact of wind, and the pain subsides after the tooth is erupted.


(10) Due to the defect of Adhumam-Khapa, there is a very painful swelling at the end of the palate and salivation occurs.

Dental diseases are of eight types.


(1) The teeth become cracked (like a dagger) due to the intense pain caused by the eruption of the wind.


(2) Worm teeth - Due to air pollution, the teeth become black and the cavities in them open. The teeth become loose and discharge from them. The gums swell and there is sudden, sharp pain.


(3) Toothache - The teeth seem to have been knocked out by the wind. The patient cannot tolerate the touch of cold or hot objects.


(4) Fractured teeth can break due to acute pain caused by the eruption of phlegm, resulting in a crooked face.

There are five types of tongue diseases.


(1) Wind is sharp - due to the wind's fury, the tongue, perhaps as rough as a palm leaf, cracks and cannot distinguish between sweet and unpleasant tastes.


(2) Pitta thorn - Due to the inflammation of the gall bladder, the tongue burns, looks yellow, and red, scaly spots appear on it.


(3) Phlegm thorns - The tongue may be heavy and thick due to phlegm. There are many thorns on the tongue, like the thorns of a thorn tree.


(4) Alasa - Phlegm and blood contaminate the tongue and produce severe swelling under it. When this increases, the tongue becomes immobile and the root of the tongue rots.


(5) Sublingual - Due to phlegm and blood, the tongue becomes thick and a swelling like the tip of the tongue develops on its lower part. It itches, burns and produces foul-smelling saliva.


This is a type of palatal disease.


(1) Pharyngitis - Phlegm and blood disorders cause an elongated swelling at the base of the palate, resembling a lump of skin filled with air. This causes thirst, cough and shortness of breath.


(2) Due to the phlegm and blood disorders, swelling like a forest kaphaphala occurs in the root of the palate (Ghantika). This causes burning, sharp pain and indigestion.


(3) Due to the defect of blood and mucus, a red, persistent swelling develops in the middle of the palate.


It causes severe pain and fever.


(4) Flesh ulceration - Kaphar eruption causes a pale, slightly painful, raised swelling on the palate, resembling a scaly back. It gradually increases over a long period of time.


(5) Due to the outbreak of cancer-blood, a swelling like a lotus bud develops in the palate. It also manifests the symptoms of blood poisoning.


(6) Flesh growths - Due to Kapha, a painless fleshy growth occurs at the end of the palate

(7) Palate Gupput - Phlegm and fat are contaminated and cause swelling like a boil on the palate. It is not painful at all.


(8) Dryness of the palate - Due to the air-pitta defect, dryness occurs along with pain and discomfort in the palate. This causes nausea and thirst.


(9) Palate: The digestive bile is inflamed and causes severe indigestion of the palate.


Throat disease—this is the seventeenth type.


The general symptoms of Rohini are: - Gout, bile, phlegm and blood, each separately or together, are aggravated and the flesh is contaminated, producing small boils in the form of fleshy lumps in the throat. As a result, the patient falls to the point of death due to the inability to digest anything in the stomach.


(1) Batika Rohini—This causes severe pain around the tongue.


The flesh grows and blocks the throat, and along with this, air-borne disturbances are also seen.


(2) Gallbladder disease - In this, lumps of flesh develop rapidly and mature, and there is also a high fever.


(3) Phlegm-intestinal - In this, the fleshy masses become hard, firm, and large, blocking the throat. A small portion of it is seen to be liquefied.


(4) Sannipatika Rohini - Due to the anger of the three doshas, the digestion of the meat becomes severe (inward). Therefore, this is a bad disease.

(5) Bloody veins—These are veins that are permeated by bile-stained membranes and

(18) The biliousness of the bile causes a burning and bloody discharge in the throat. This discharge gradually causes the flesh to rot, decay, and fall off, giving off a foul odor. This disease usually occurs on the side on which the patient is accustomed to sleep.


There are three types of oral diseases.


(1) Mouth ulcers—In this, the entire oral cavity is covered with painful, burning-like sores.


(2) Bile – This causes the mouth to be red, yellow and burning.


It is filled with small blisters. Some people believe that this happens due to blood clots. Some also call it mouth ulcers.


(3) Similar rashes, bumps, and minor pain appear between the mouth and the scrotum.
