They can throw rings from one place. It seems that most people throw rings in a haphazard manner—that is, they throw them from close by and then from very far away the very next moment. But goal-oriented people position themselves carefully and throw the rings from that place. When they position themselves, they do not throw them from so close that throwing the rings becomes a ridiculous task. Nor do they throw them from so far that the task becomes completely impossible. They can show their skills and gain experience by throwing from a distance where the task is a little difficult but possible.
This can be understood with another example. A person trying to increase his strength by lifting weights is aware of an important aspect when working towards the goal of increasing strength. Lifting weights that can be lifted very easily will not increase strength. On the other hand, lifting very heavy weights that hurt the body will also be unrealistic. Lifting weights that are difficult but possible will increase muscle strength. At the next stage, when it becomes easy to achieve the said weight, the person can again set higher goals. Mainly, setting realistic and difficult goals and being active towards them is a characteristic of goal-oriented people.
In such a situation, their attitude towards the math of profit and loss can be guessed. Some people have a monotheistic mindset regarding profit and loss. Some work with a greedy mindset. They work with purpose despite the possibility of loss. That is, as soon as they fail, they say that this work is beyond their power and control and avoid their personal responsibility. On the other hand, a conservative person keeps himself away from the possibility of loss or work and takes up the work where there is a slight but definite possibility of profit. In such a situation, a mistake is made.
The probability of success is also low. But goal-oriented people take the middle path. They undertake tasks with a moderate probability of profit and loss and think that they can control the outcome of the work through their hard work and effort. This characteristic is clearly visible in business and other independent work.
They value their personal achievements more than the rewards of success. This does not mean that goal-oriented people do not want rewards and incentives. In their eyes, personal achievement (success) is more important than rewards. They do not despise financial gain, but they consider money as an indicator of personal success.
