Predominance of matter - Some teachers say that substance is the first because it is suitable for the system among substance, juice, quality, semen and decay. Juice etc. are not like that. Because just as juice etc. are present in the raw state of a fruit, they assume a different form in the ripe state. Substance is eternal but its qualities are infinite. For example, juice (of turmeric etc.) is different in quality from kalk (turmeric etc. or buttermilk). Even though the qualities (juice and smell) of that juice and kalk also become faultless and defective with time. The concept of classification of matter is possible through the division of matter. That cannot be the case with juice etc. Whatever kind of matter is accepted in that form. Substance is perceived by the five senses such as eyes, nose etc. Juice etc. cannot be like that. The only substance is the refuge of the essence. The principle of starting the action is seen with the substance. For example, bring the “spices of the divinity” and boil them. There is no such principle of starting with the essence. The primacy of the substance is proven in the scriptures, for example, use a pan and a fire (as a supplement). Such advice is not related to essence and qualities. The primacy of the substance is also proven in terms of development, because in the young stage the development of essence is less and in the mature stage it is seen in greater quantities. There are many harmful substances in any part of the substance, for example, milk of the cow. For these reasons, the substance is the main one.

The sign of the substance--that which is the basis of the action and qualities, which is the concomitant cause (without whose relation the existence of the substance is not possible, for example, cotton thread), that is the substance

Predominance of Rasa — Others say that the substance is not the main thing, but the Rasa is the main thing. In the scriptures, in the matter of food, ‘“Six Rasas, including sweet, have been accepted as the main thing.” The soul depends on Rasa. It has been advised that “Sweet, sour and salty Rasa are aphrodisiacs.” Substances are identified by Rasa, such as salt and sugar. It is also mentioned in the Vedas that “Bring something sweet for the sacrifice”. Therefore, Rasa is the main ingredient. Rasa itself is said to be the quality. The special characteristics of Rasa will be explained elsewhere.

The predominance of semen – Others say that semen cannot be the main ingredient. Sperm is the most important because the action of medicines is carried out according to semen, such as – Vomana, Virechana, Uddhadhashadhana (which causes vomiting and diarrhea at the same time), Samsamana (relief of wind and other faults), Jujuna (stopping the effects of the wind), Agnidipta, Pidan (which suppresses the effects of the wind), Lekhna, Brihasa, Rasayana, Badikaran, Shothopaadaka, Bilayaka, Dhak, Vidarak, Intoxicating, Soul-destroying and Poison-destroying etc. That semen is briefly of two types, cold and hot. Because every object in the world is the sun and It is divided into two parts based on the qualities of the moon. Some divide it into eight parts as cold, hot, oily, rough, pungent (like petrol), viscous (like agar), mild (smooth) and sharp (sharp). These substances, due to their strength and abundance of qualities, overcome the rasa and perform their respective functions, for example, although the juice of the great panchmula is more bitter and less sour, it does not increase the pain due to its hot properties and does not increase it. Similarly, the juice of the kashaya and the bitter piyal are anti-inflammatory due to their viscosity. The juice of the akhur is sweet but increases it due to its cold properties. The bitter pippali, the sour amla and the salty sandhav reduce the pain due to their mild and cold properties. The bitter salt due to its hot properties and the bitter salt due to its hot properties. Fish with greens and honey juice increases bile. Radish with bitter juice increases bile due to its viscous nature. Cucumber with sour juice and honey with sweet juice reduce phlegm due to its rough nature. These were mentioned as examples. Therefore, if the sweet, sour and salty juice which are anti-gas are light in taste and clear, then they do not cause flatulence. Bile is sweet,

If bitter and astringent juices have sharpness, heat and lightness, then they are not bile-killing. If bitter and astringent juices have viscosity, heaviness and coldness, then they cannot be bile-killing. Therefore, semen is more important than substances and juices.

Predominance of adverse effects - Others say that adverse effects are more important because adverse effects of substances are beneficial if they are properly used and harmful if they are improperly used. Some say that each substance has its own adverse effects. Some have also accepted three types of adverse effects, sweet, sour and bitter. But this is not correct. If we examine the qualities of the five elements and the scriptures, it is known that the substance does not have the adverse effects of acid. Due to the burning of fire, bile is decomposed and produces sour juice. In such a case, if the acid phlegm is accepted, the salt phlegm should also be accepted, because when the phlegm is broken down, it turns into salty juice. All juices are said to be special phlegms. An example of this is given below, for example, just as milk becomes sweet when cooked in fire, similarly each phlegm cannot give up its own phlegm. When sali-dhan, yavaka and mugaprabhavanti are sown, only its own sprouts come out of it. According to some, the unclear or weak phlegms are subject to the clear or strong phlegm. Therefore, since there is no stability of any phlegm, there is no principle for this.

If we look at the evidence of the scriptures, there should be two types of phlegms, sweet and bitter. Sweet phlegm is of great quality and bitter phlegm is of lesser quality. The reason for this is that the five elements of the earth can be divided into two main parts according to their qualities. Of these, earth and water are the heaviest, and the rest are the sky, air and light. Therefore, in this order, the defilements are to be understood in two ways. The defilements of food which are rich in the qualities of earth and water are sweet, and the defilements of food which are rich in the qualities of air, light and sky are bitter.

The monotheists accept the predominance of matter, juice, semen and defilements separately, but the polytheists accept the predominance of all. Accordingly, some matter is in semen, some matter in juice and in defilements, and

Any substance automatically increases or destroys faults. Since there is no vipaka without semen, semen without rasa and rasa without substance, therefore substance is the best.

The mutual relationship between substance and rasa is like the relationship between body and soul. The eight qualities, such as mildness and sharpness, which have been described as semen, have not taken refuge in rasa but have taken refuge in substance. Since the qualities take refuge in the person, they do not take refuge in qualities. The five material food items are cooked in the five-elemental body. The six rasas without substance do not cook. Therefore substance is the best. Rasa, etc., are taken refuge in substance.

The characteristics of watery substances are cold, cool (having the quality of making the body feel as if it has been wrapped in a cloth), greasy, unpleasant, heavy, fast, dense, soft, slippery, juicy, slightly astringent, sour-salty and slightly sweet. Therefore, it is smooth, pleasant, moist (which creates moisture), binding (which brings everything together) and astringent (discharge) factor.

The characteristics of oily substances are hot, sharp, fine, rough, salty, light, rich in the quality of clear (clean), slightly sour, salty and bitter. Its main characteristic is uplifting. Therefore, it is burning, digestive, pungent (causing the throat to burst), hot, illuminating, illuminating and revealing.

The characteristics of airy substances are: fine, rough, bitter, cold, light, clean, rich in taste, slightly bitter and rich in astringency. Therefore, they are clean, light, bitter, rough and prone to disintegration.

The characteristics of celestial substances are: learning (having a polishing quality), fine, mild, pleasant (which spreads to the whole body as soon as it is eaten and then ripens), clean, incomparable, temperamental, impersonal and especially soundless. Therefore, they are the factors of mildness, emptiness (emptiness) and lightness.

This evidence shows that every substance in the world can be used as medicine. But when used, the substances must have their own qualities and properties and must be used according to specific needs and reasonable conditions.

Only by applying it with judgment can the appropriate results be obtained. The time at which they act is time, what they do is action, with what they do is semen, where they do is field, how they do it (as juice, broth, powder, etc.) is the means and what they achieve is the result.

The symptoms of the actions of the Virachanas are: Virachanas are earthy and watery and are very heavy in quality and are inclined downwards. Vamanas are firey and airy in quality and are said to be upwardly mobile due to their lightness. Vamanas and Virachanas move in both directions. Samsamana (reducing defects) are airy in quality. Sanghahi (retaining) are airy in quality because they have the power to absorb air. Divanas are firey in quality and increase fire due to their abundance. Lekhna (which cuts phlegm and fat) are windy and firey in quality. The thickening (thickening) substances are rich in earth and water. The actions of such medicines are to be understood by inference.

By the lateral, fiery and watery substances, wind is relieved; by the lateral, fiery and airy substances, bile is relieved; by the fiery, celestial and airy substances, phlegm and ascites are relieved. By the celestial and airy substances, wind is relieved; by the fiery substances, bile is increased; by the lateral and watery substances, phlegm is increased. In such a case, from the abundance of two or more great evils, the abundance of that particular quality should be used for the destruction of the fault.

The eight qualities of the great evils in semen or semen are called semen. Among them, sharp and hot are fiery; Cold and slimy qualities are watery, affectionate, earthy and watery; mild, watery and sky qualities are abundant; rough, airy qualities are abundant; sharp, skyy, bright and airy qualities are abundant. The qualities of heavy, light and poisonous have been mentioned before. Hot and greasy qualities are anti-inflammatory. Cold, mild and slimy qualities are anti-inflammatory. Pungent, rough and sharp qualities are anti-inflammatory.

The mild, cold and hot qualities are known by touch, the viscous and viscous qualities by the two eyes and skin, the oily and rough qualities by the eyes and the sharp qualities by the tongue (due to the production of unpleasant sensations). Also, by cleansing the bowels and the intestines and by being slightly agitated, the mild is known by the cessation of bowels and the elimination of wind. The juices of the great spirits with the same qualities should be understood by the special characteristics of those great spirits, such as - the sweet juice of the side, the sweet juice of the stomach and the water, the oily. Whatever qualities are present in the substance, those qualities exist in the body. Therefore, the products that cause the decay, growth and balance of the body are the most important.
