Generally soil testing is required for taking medicines - the land where there are no large holes, holes, gravel, ditches, mounds, humps, cemeteries, hanging or impalement places, places of deities and sand etc. and the soil which is not salty or sandy, from which water comes out with a little digging, which is moist and has many sprouts and is soft, stable, flat, black, white or colored, should be taken for medicines. Even if it is grown in such a place, if the medicinal plants are not contaminated by insects, poisons, weapons, sun, wind, fire, water, public gatherings and people's traffic roads, then it is considered suitable for medicine. Medicinal plants should have excellent juicy, rich and deep roots (whose roots penetrate very far into the ground). While collecting roots or bark for medicine, collect them facing the north direction.

Especially the soil test – In stony, strong, heavy, dark or black, thick trees and grain-rich soil, the proportion of earth is more. In moist, cold, water-rich, thick grains and soft trees with a thin bark and white-colored soil, the proportion of water is more. In multi-colored, light, stony, sparsely-white-colored trees and full of sprouts, the proportion of fire is more. In the soil with a root, gray color, and not thick, dry, and few-fruited trees, the proportion of air is more. In the land that is flat and full of great fertility, whose soil and water are not affected by any source of water; in that which is covered with large mountains and useless trees and is gray-colored, the proportion of sky is more.

Medicine acquisition idea - Some say that roots are used in the natural seasons (Asadh, Shravan), leaves in the rains, peels in the autumn, milk in the winter, and manure in the spring.

(Manjhakatu) and take fruits in summer. But this is not correct. Because cold and hot qualities prevail in the world. Therefore, if cold-bearing products are collected in the cold season and hot-bearing products in the hot season, their qualities remain correct. Cold-bearing medicines born in cold-bearing soil and collected in the cold season are very sweet, viscous and cold-bearing. Thus, understand the context of taking hot-bearing products. Take expectorant products from earth and water-bearing soil. Take expectorant products from fire, sky and air-bearing soil. Take both expectorant and expectorant products from ordinary soil. Take expectorant products (which keep the doshas equal without causing vomiting) from sky-bearing soil. By doing so, the products become very powerful.

Except honey, ghee, sugar, pipali and bidang, all other things should be new. If new things are not available, then take things that have not been used for a year.

Take the introduction of medicines from ascetics, ascetics, hunters, forest dwellers and those who are fruit eaters. There is no time limit for taking all kinds of medicines like palas and salt. The six types of murika mentioned in the Panchamahabhuta and the general classification are combined with smell, age and six juices according to their soil and nature. Therefore, the trees born from them are also combined with saturas, but it has been decided that there is no juice specifically in water. That unmanifested juice is manifested as honey from the relationship between water and earth. The land combined with all the characteristics is called the general land. The land in which the product is produced acquires that quality.

Whether the item is new or old, if its own smell, juice and color remain intact and uncontaminated; then it is acceptable. If you want to take blood, fur, nails and meat, you should take it from a middle-aged animal. If you want to take milk, mudra and feces, you should take it after it is cooked. Medicines should be in a spacious field and a holy place and in the east or north direction. Medicines should be kept in pots (kana), earthen pots, wooden vessels and bamboo pots.
